Visiting the website

When you visit, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, page requested, browser identifier) to deliver the page and prevent abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. IP addresses are kept only briefly in memory for rate limiting.

Cookies

We only set one technically necessary cookie when you sign in (session cookie “kw_session”, 14 days). There are no analytics or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie banner.

Spam protection

Our forms are protected by an invisible puzzle that your browser solves (ALTCHA). No cookies are set and no data is sent to third parties.

Tutorial account

You can create an account for the tutorials. We store your name, company, email address, your password as a secure hash, and the times of sign-up, confirmation, approval and last sign-in. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can have your account deleted at any time.

Newsletter

For the newsletter, we store your email address, language, the times you signed up and confirmed, and the wording of your consent (double opt-in). The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in every email.

Contact and demo requests

When you contact us, we store your details to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them once they're no longer needed.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA).
