kayetana
Solutions for higher education

AI for teaching and admin, on campus.

Faculty want to use AI in courses, administration gets the same questions over and over, and recordings should be searchable. kayetana runs on a server at your institution and brings this together in one place.

Audio

Lectures and interviews as text.

Upload recordings as MP3, M4A, WAV or FLAC up to 100 MB. kayetana transcribes them with Whisper large-v3-turbo, with timestamps and a selectable language. The text works as a script, as notes or as the basis for analyzing qualitative interviews.

  • Timestamps in the result
  • Selectable language

Query regulations

Load academic and exam regulations and get answers with citations.

Sort inquiries

Pre-sort emails to the registrar or exams office by topic.

AI in the classroom

Students work with the REST API in class, without personal accounts at cloud AI services.

Explain how models work

Show tokens, embeddings and fine-tuning hands-on in the playground.

API keys

One key per course or project.

Create a separate API key with a monthly limit for each course or research project. You see who uses how much, and no single project can quietly max out the server.

  • A monthly limit per key
  • Requests and tokens per key
  • Delete keys at the end of the semester

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do students need their own account with a cloud service?

No. They work with an API key or a login to kayetana, which runs on your institution's server.

Is input stored?

No. Prompts and responses are never stored. Only time, endpoint, model, status, tokens and duration are logged.

Is the interface available in several languages?

The interface is in German. Transcription and models also handle other languages, and you choose the recording's language when you transcribe.

Is kayetana privacy compliant for universities?

We can't guarantee that. Data stays on your server. Review the requirements with your data protection officer.
